Trellis is a post-School of Spiritual Direction group for students of mine who are seeking ongoing friendship, spiritual formation, supervision, and support in the ministry of spiritual direction.

Cost

  • $200 / year
  • I will invoice you directly and you can pay by Interac e-transfer (if you’re in Canada) or with a credit card online via Stripe (with an additional transaction fee).

Requirements 

  • Attendance (four sessions)
  • Preparing Four Focus Statements (one for each time of supervision) 

Schedule 

  • One: Fall
  • Two: Winter (Before Christmas)
  • Three: Winter (After Christmas)
  • Four: Spring

* All sessions are online from 9am – 12pm central time *

Session Overview

Each session features the following:

  • Centering
    • Silence
    • Briefly sharing how we are coming to the time together
    • A short teaching on spiritual direction
    • Spiritual Practice (engaging a well-worn form of contemplative prayer together)
    • Sharing (describing our experience of God in/with the practice)
  • Group Supervision (in doubles or triads)
    • Presenting a focus statement 
    • Peer Supervision
    • Affirming Charisms 
    • Prayer 
  • Support
    • Group Discussion (questions and comments relative to spiritual direction)
  • Benediction
    • Encouragement and Closing Prayer
